Chapped

The weather has turned dry and cold here. My lips are peeling and my face is so dry it hurts to smile. My hands are cracking too.

Anyone have recommendations for their favorite cold weather creams and/or lip treatments?

Thanks much.

Re: Chapped

  • bag balm is my fav.  If it was good enough for my grandfather's cows it is good enough for me.  You can find it in the drug store in a light green tin.  The large one will last you forever.  Works like a charm.  We used to have to get it from the grain store before they started selling it at cvs.

  • Beauti Control's Lip Appeal...its so awesome! It has a peel that you use at night ( especially at night because its a white cream that you put around your whole mouth and it makes you look like a clown lol ) and then a really good balm you put on after you wipe it off. They have some good stuff for your hands but I personally don't use it but my mom loves it. You can go to beautipage.com look at it
  • I'm still looking for something that works with my lips... The Burts Bees stick I used last night seems to have done some good, but the jury's still out.

For hands (and pretty much everywhere else), I swear by Aveeno's Intense Relief Hand Cream (the maroon one). It's the only hand cream I've found that works well, quickly, and lasts AND doesn't make my hands greasy (I handle a lot of paper during the day, and the last thing I need is to have ruined something I'm signing by putting greasy fingerprints on it!). The only thing I don't like is that I have only seen it in the 3.5 oz size (some of their other creams come in larger pump bottles). It's good stuff.
