Re: nanuet residents
I grew up two turns off of lake nanuet drive and my mom still lives there. It's a very long street so most people who are going to the pool don't actually drive down it - they turn right into the pool. It is a more heavily travelled road than some of the side roads that are just a turn or two off of it (my street was/still is super quiet) but it's not as busy as you may think.
ETA: Although the cars do park on the road sometimes during the summer just don't buy one of the first two houses on the street and you'll be fine. The cars never park that far past the lake.
Good luck with your search!
