What is everyone up to? Anyone going out? Hosting a party? Hiding under the covers until the new year?!?! Lol
Re: New Years Eve plans
nothing. LOL
probably just getting some noise makers for the kids to play with before their bedtime... and waking DH up before midnight so we can kiss. haha
Nothing. DH has to work at Midnight and I'm pregnant, tired, and A woke up with another cold this morning. yay.
A good friend of mine has a party every year (although took one year off last year) as it is also her son's birthday. This is the 2nd NYE since my husband I have been together that he has off so we are pretty psyched.
DD has her first ear infection though and although will be on meds for four days, will be staying with grandma
we're probably having a family movie night. i make a ton of heavy appetizers, spread them out on the huge ottoman in the living room, and we eat them while watching a movie Ava picks. we haven't done this in a while - she loves it. not sure that sam will sit through it.
i'm thinking spinach artichoke dip or maybe making it into mini bread bowls for indiv servings, pigs in blanket, pizza bagels...and i don't know what else yet
Not a thing!!!!
DH is working, not sure yet if he will be in times square.
I was invited to a friends house to be with her family, but I am not really a celebrate new years person, so I will probably just go to my parents house to hang out with them.
My sister is coming up and staying the night. We plan on watching The Girl Who Played with Fire on DVD (and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest if J cooperates with his naps). We are eating loads of junk food and plan to make fun of DH, who is man-sick. The same thing happened last NYE (down to DH being a sick man-child), but we watched Season 1 of Glee instead and the Poop Meister wasn't hear yet. And this year I won't be guzzling tequila. Boo.
I am tired and unoriginal so I hope Melanie plans to post the rest of the treats she is preparing so I can totally copy her. So far all I have on hand are chips and dip, my secret stash of ice cream that DH already found and ate some, and cookies. Lame-0.
Normally, we go to red ginger for all you can eat sushi. Not worth it since I am pregnant. Then we go to a party - not happening with a 16 month old.
We are going to outback for dinner and then back to my parents house in greenwood lake. Will put LB to sleep at regular time and then eat far too much crap and watch the ball drop with DH and my parents.
The day after is a big party at my IL's as a combo for DH's birthday and New Years Day.

I have a few staff (college students that are fingerprinted and have certifications) who were inquiring about babysitting jobs during their break. I also used to love getting babysitting jobs during the break when I was youinger.
I have all intentions of being in bed by 830, if i'm crazy i might set my alarm for 1158 and turn on the tv in my room, i don't know though!
