Happy Friday!

How was your week? What's up for the weekend?

What are your New Year's plans? Who has to work on Monday?

Re: Happy Friday!

  • I won't be around the rest of the day so I figured I would check in early!

My week was great (and busy!). I love having H home all of the time. And we signed the P&S for our new house!

Today I am going to get a psychic reading with one of my friends haha. Then tonight H and I are doing dinner and a movie. The rest of the weekend  is unscheduled as of yet.

New Years plans for us involve some Captain Morgan and watching the ball drop from the living room couch. Hoping to be in bed by 12:15.

  • Week was ok- I was off Mon/Tues but had a cold (w/102 fever) on Monday night and by the time I woke on Tuesday, I was fine. I woke up this morning with a screwed up back though and it hurts to breathe. I guess I'm falling apart! I've been working Wed- today... and we have nothing planned for this weekend. I think we are ringing in the New Year while we sleep Smile

  • The week was busy, and it just flew by. I did have a massage yesterday, which was a nice way to relax and slow down for a bit.

Today is all about NYE prep. I have to make cookies, a genoise cake for the buche de noel, and coq a vin. I also have to shop for a few last minute things and set the table for dinner.

Tomorrow BBR is performing for First Night so my day will be kind of shot with that performance, (which should be fun, but it means I can't stay home and get ready for my party...)

Sunday, I hope, we are just relaxing. Maybe brunch somewhere fun and then maybe an early dinner at my BIL's house to see their LO.

  • No work til Tuesday! YAY!

Though after finding my wine glass in the laundry room and my cell phone in the fridge last night it may be time for me to get back into a routine.

We have lunch with friends today and DS and I have errands to run- nothing exciting. I am about to take P on a walk just to get her away from G-man for a bit. He's being obnoxious!

We don't have NYE plans, I think we are going to go out to dinner, put DS to bed and watch the ball drop with the dogs. LOL.

I already un-Christmased our house so New Year's day is wide open. I wish I'd thought to throw a party, but I didn't think of it until a few days ago and it's too last minute to throw together a decent party.

  • LadyE, tell us what the psychic says about your new year.  And congrats on the house!

mesa, hope you're feeling better soon!

Ginger, fabulous sounding plans, as usual.  Where exactly are the BBR performing on NYE?

LOL at Punky!  Like, I literally LOL at my desk.  Good thing my door is closed :)

I "worked" Wednesday - Friday this week.  You know, the evening seems much longer when you get home at 5pm instead of 7:00/7:30pm.  I took Tuesday off just because and spent the time doing things around the house.  With DH gone this week, I've actually gotten a good amount done and have been enjoying some alone time.  Excited for him to be home soon though.

Tomorrow I'll probably hang out with my family and then they're hosting a NYE dinner at their place.  Chinese hot pot, yum!  Our neighbors also invited us over to hang out, but we probably won't make it.  Other than that, no other plans for the weekend.  I'm over walking around in the cold on First Night so we'll just stay in and maybe watch the ball drop on TV.  So exciting Stick out tongue

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • Have fun at the psychic, LadyE! Feel better, Mesa! And Ginger, good luck with the performance!

I've been on vacation since last Thursday, so I've been alternating being lazy and cleaning/being productive. Mostly lazy, though. Last night, I met my husband for dinner and drinks in Harvard Square, because I was getting stir crazy. This morning, I went and got a massage, and it was delightful.

We have no plans for NYE - we'll probably drink some wine and champagne, watch some terrible movie, and struggle to stay awake til midnight. Sunday, I think we're going to try to go to the movies and see The Descendents, since it's playing around the corner. And on Monday, we're supposed to go out for our Christmas dinner - either Sandrine's or Chez Henri, since I have groupons for both, heh.

    Happy new year, everyone!

  • I had the week off, yay! I just lounged around a lot and did some maternity clothes shopping. So all in all a fantastic week.

We're going to my friend's house for NYE. I have Monday off since NYD is a Sunday.

  • The week draaaaaaaaaaagged. MIL and GMIL are here, and we've done nothing but sit on our a$$es for the most part.

Today we went to Newport. Tomorrow we're going to a children's NYE party during the day, probably more sitting on our a$$es in the afternoon. Not sure about the rest of the weekend.

No one's working on Monday around here!

  • Hahahahaha Punky, that is hilarious!

Rock, she kept talking about us going to a park in June and joining a local mom's group but she said I'm going to hate all of the other moms lol. H will get a promotion in the next 6 months-1 year. DS is going to grow up and go in to politics haha (I didn't see that one coming)! She talked a lot about the new house and how the original owner was a local politician and used to hold meetings in the house, and that energy is still there and will actually benefit DS when he decides to go in to it also. Oh and someday DC #2 will be a girl.

I'm not a "believer" and making my "Extravaganza for 2062" buttons or anything. But I think it's fun to go. When I was 13, all I wanted was to go to the psychic for my birthday (don't ask me why). I took notes while she talked and looking back on the notes is more than a little eerie.

Where did you find stuff? Maternity clothes shopping was so much more difficult than I expected.
