NYE food?

If we do stay in this year, I'd like to cook something special. Do you have traditional food you make on NYE? What are you making this year? I got a cast-iron skillet and a crock pot for Christmas. Got any ideas for those?

I made lasagna for the first time in my Le Creuset two nights ago when MIL was here so I think we'll have the rest of that. We don't have any plans for NYE since DH has to be in bed.

Mexican is our traditional eve food.  We're having a party.  I'm making carnitas.  We're buying pollo and carne from the local mexican market and tamales from a place on the East side.

Steak is really big in my family.

Fondue is another idea.  We did cheese fondue for Christmas Eve.

No, we don't do a traditional New Year's Eve food. It sounds like a great idea though!  I am planning on making bruschetta tonight because we're doing our Christmas exchange with my parents and brother and SIL early this evening. I thought I should probably have some food out for everyone, but I am very sugared out so trying to avoid cookies.
