We are switching providers this weekend and I am trying to figure out if the 4S is worth the additional $100 (compared to the 4)?
Right now (and for the last 2 years) I've had the 3S and its been fine. I generally use the phone for surfing the web and email so a lot of the "bells and whistles" arent all that big of a deal to me and battery life has never been a problem. I cant really tell what the major benefits of the 4S are and if they are worth an extra $100.
Any opinions/suggestions?
Re: iPhone 4 vs. 4S?
the phone and video capabilities alone make it worth the $100. You won't need a P&S camera or a HD video recorder with the phone.
Siri is also pretty cool.

This. Also, because you're going to have it for at least 2 years, I don't buy outdated technology.
I definitely use the camera and video a lot so this is good to know. The comparison didn't mention a difference!
here's a good comparison article:

Ditto the awesome camera and video. I justified it with the baby on the way!
Plus, Siri is just the icing on the cake! You can tell her to send a text saying x,y,z to so and so, you can tell her to remind you of whatever at a certain time, you can tell her to call your DH, etc. All with the push of a button. It's really nice if you need to remember something while you're driving or what not. I love her and even tell her so! When I do, she's said things like "you are the wind beneath my wings!" ha!
