So we survived our trip to Alabama!! Zoey was so completely amazing in the car! She was quiet and settled down quickly; she mostly just slept! She'd pop right up whenever we stopped, and we made sure to let her out to stretch and potty at every stop we made (we didn't have to make extra stops just for her, though). It was funny feeding her breakfast on both drives, since we were on the road for both those meals...imagine seeing someone feeding raw meat to their pet at a random rest stop! LOL!
Anywho...on to the pics!!!
Evidence of Zoey's primary mode of being during the drive down (the harness worked GREAT to keep her safe but give her good range of motion):
She got to meet her "cousin" pups! My sister's Frenchie, Reese, finally played with her after a while; Tug, the pug in the background, really wasn't interested, lol:
Spent as much time as I possibly could holding/snuggling/hanging out with my beautiful, sweet little niece!
Just like little Cindy Lou Who!
Zoey very patiently waited for everyone to get to the house to open gifts on Christmas!
Yay! First ever Christmas present! It was from Scout, my mom's lab, who included the note, "Merry Christmas! (Now get out!)" Hahaha. She wasn't thrilled having this upstart pup in her house!
Precious girl in her Christmas finery!
My brother likes picking up Zoey, hehehe. She was cool with it!
Little sweetie (naughty little sweetie!), complete with sock to keep her foot covered: she decided to run into the woods instead of coming back to H after pottying in my mom's backyard; she ended up slicing a chunk off one of her toe paw pads...the thing is taking frickin forever to scab over!
That's about it! It was an amazing trip, and I LOVED finally meeting my niece and getting to spend time with my family down there. I was very sad to leave them, but it felt great to get home again!
Re: Christmas in Pics! (Both PR & NPR)
blondie: thanks, I hope so, too!! It's a real pain keeping it covered/keeping a sock over it so she'll leave it alone and it won't get dirty!
ndolehan: she hung out there for a while waiting for everyone! She was really so well behaved the whole time. I was so thrilled with how well she did! I just wish the other dogs (my mom's and sister's) would have been more receptive and playful! She didn't get a whole lot of play time while we were there.

I know how you feel! I was just DYING to meet her every since I found out sis/BIL were expecting, and then when we found out it was a girl! I soaked up the pics online until I finally got down there to see her at 4-5 weeks old!
I probably won't get to see her in person again until at LEAST September, and that's if they/we can make it down to SC for a family vacay at the Outer Banks. Fingers crossed!
