  • I said 50, but they are generally a little more than 20 at most.

    This, exactly.

And I don't feel like they live that far away because I'm in the town where they live every single day for work, and FF lives literally 3 miles down the road from them.

  • Sorry I didn't offer enough options. It could have gotten out of control quite quickly though with 20+ response options, ha.

    But sorry.

  • mine live in Nebraska, i live in NJ.  Sad  but i get to visit at least twice a year
  • I'm really surprised at the 1-mile radius percentage!

1-milers, speak up! Are you living with your parents, or do you really live in your own place less than 1 mile from them?

My son is my closest blood relative and lives with me = <1 mile. Other than that, everyone else in my family is 200+ away.

  • My brother (and his family) live within 1 mile from me. I love it! We are close, as we have been all our lives.

LOL. I wasn't considering this, haha. But noted.

  • Well over 200 miles away... I think the closest blood relative I have it approx 300 miles away.

They see us rollin'...they be hatin'.
  • I'm in the 1 mile percentage. I live in a 3 family that my dad owns - he doesn't live there and I pay rent like everyone else. His permanent residence is about a mile from me but he winters in Florida, so me living there works for us both because he has someone he trusts to take care of the building and tenants while he's away. My mom lives in my hometown which is about 3-4 miles away.

  • Okay, technically I voted wrong, my step dad is a block away. But he's more family than most of the blood so neener. My aunt though is only about 2 miles away

  • I am currently living with my parents but my uncle lives next door and another uncle lives less then a block away. Needlss to say I live in a town with less then 4000 people. I LoVE it!!! With the exception of everyone knowing everyone else's business...especially through this divorce.
  • Usually my answer would be in the 10-50 range, but alas I'm currently living in my parents home, so I'm living in extremely close proximity to 3 family members.
  • I said 50 because I was thinking immediate family.  Now that I think of it I have extended family (cousins) that live within a couple miles but they are much older, we aren't close and I never see them (aside from occasionally running into them in the store or something).

  • 10 mile radius. They live in a suburb of Austin. Too close for comfort.

  • I live less than a mile from my parents.  I still like it because I can go over there for dinner and then come home and not worry about it.  I get lonely easily so it's nice to not have to eat alone (just me and DS).  But it's also far enough away that they don't know my every waking movement (ok most, but not all).  I can have someone over and they wouldn't know it because they don't drive directly by my house when they're going home.

  • My town is 1sq mile, my Mom and her husband and my Maternal Grandfather and my Paternal Grandmother are all here as well. My brothers each live less than 2 miles away, and even my ex husband is less than 2 miles away. My furthest relatives are my Dad and sister who live the next state over and are about 40 miles away.

  • Technically I'm a few hours away from my uncle, but I've never met him. Though I guess it's still over 200 miles, so there ya go.  I answered with my parents/brother in mind. They are 13 hours away by car.

    This is my siggy.
  • I always lived within 10 miles of family, then married XH and moved next door to all of his family, them moved 5 miles from all of his family (which was 25-35 miles from my family). Now I moved by myself, and I'm about 35 miles from dad/ grandparents/ aunts/ uncles, and 90 miles form brother. And they all make a huge stink about coming over to visit me
