Renzo's paws are STILL red and inflamed with patches that are raw from him licking. We thought it was seasonal allergies but it is still going on long after seasonal allergens have been gone so we're trying an elimination diet. Our first attempt will be Natural Balance venison. We got the NB treats so he doesn't get any extra ingredients in his treats. I SO SO SO SO hope this does the trick.
Awesome side note: When we were at the store looking at food we mentioned to the employee helping us that our vet recommend some Science Diet allergy crap and she wrinkled her nose. :-)

Re: Wish us luck!!!
(And that's fantastic, the part about the pet store employee knowing what crap SD is.)

I know! Poor muffin. Although he is totally a weirdo and seems to like wearing his comfy cone which is good because he wears it practically 24/7 to stop him from licking his footies. He gets excited and wags his nub when we pull the cone out! Dork. :-)
Oh no! Poor Renzo!!!
The frozen Nature's Variety is also really good for allergies (they've got duck, venison, beef, chicken & turkey...) - frozen Stella & Chewy's has a surf & turf that Rusty can handle when we can't do the raw from Swanson meats. AND Chuck and Don's has some really good coupons too. For both brands Chuck and Don's does a rewards program - buy 12 bags, get 1 free or something like that.
Let me know if you want to try anything - we've got a whole freezer full of lamb, beef liver and a few other varieties of meat. I think we've got some duck too. Well, if you're interested in going raw anyway!
That is good to know!! Thank you!!! If this Natural Balance doesn't do anything we will definitely be exploring options other than traditional kibble. OR, gulp, do some allergy testing but I hear that is $$$$. I just want my little guy to be less itchy scratchy. :-(
