Hello again...

I have been missing from this board for quite some time. Tonight, on a whim I thought I would log in and see if anyone was still around and I can see many of you still are. Things have been absolutely crazy for DH and I so I just thought that I would give everyone an update, just in case anyoen is interested.

I think the last time I posted anything was back in the summer shortly after finding out that I was going to be demoted to 15 hours a week at work. Luckily that only lasted about a 6 weeks and I was able to get back to full time status. However, I have been sporadically looking because there is no gaurantee that it won't happen again and possibly be worse.

Both my sister and SIL got married in 2011. My sister in July and my SIL in November and I was in both of the weddings so that made for some busy times around our house.

I think the biggest things in our lives right now is that about 6 weeks ago DH and I thought that a good Christmas present for each oth er would be a puppy. So 4 weeks ago today we brought home our 7 week old puppy, Thunder. He is a pure bred Blue Heeler...Australian Cattle Dog...and nothing but a ball of energy, but he sure can be a sweetie.

Saving the best for last...kinda. About a year ago DH and I decided to start trying to have a baby. Unfortunately we have been unsuccessful so far. We decided a couple months ago that it was time for a little help. After a couple of appointments and various testing the doctor officially put me on Chlomid as of today. We are really hoping that by this time next year we will have welcomed a beautiful baby into our family.

Sorry that this has been so long. If you actually read the whole thing I hope that I didn't bore you too much. Hope to get caught up with everyone in the near future.

Re: Hello again...

  • Hi there and welcome back!  Congrats on your puppy!  My first dog was named Max and he was an Australian Cattle Dog (also full of energy).  They are cool looking dogs!  Glad your job situation got better and sending baby dust your way! Big Smile
  • Hi! Welcome back. Congrats on the new puppy, they are a lot of fun. We too have fertility issues so you arent alone in that department. Sending you lots of baby dust.

  • Welcome back and thanks for the update!  Congratulations on the puppy and lots of love on your journey to pregnancy... sorry it's been rough so far.
  • Enjoy your pup and good luck on the baby front.  we're struggling on the baby front as well but got good(?) news today.  Good = some conclusive info I guess even though it isn't "good" in the typical sense!
  • I just want to wish you luck on your quest for motherhood. I too had a lot of trouble and just conceived through IVF last month! The details are in my sig and blog, so feel free to page me if you ever want to chat.

(PS- Clomid doesn't have an H in it.)
