you can't do this, right?
Guy in uniform, on CNN right now, on Paul's stage, telling us to vote for him. I thought you can never campaign in uniform.
If true, that guy is a complete idiot, getting up there on a national (international?) broadcast. ETA His name was broadcast as he was speaking, so he's extra dumb, not just getting up there in uniform with his last name, but having it all displayed in perfect text form.
Re: you can't do this, right?
It was followed by Paul essentially saying that everyone in the military supports him b/c they don't believe in the war either. Which, there might be an element of that, but there's a whole lot more to his foreign policy than just "leave afghanistan." Like, oh, basically getting rid of the military entirely.
And then there are all the other (bsc) views he has that people might not find so palatable.
I hate Ron Paul's candidacy so f*ing much. My husband does NOT support him, I wouldn't have married him if he did, nor would I have married him if he were an isolationist by rule. Yuck. Of course, we generally like the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution too.
*grumbles*
ETA: And because it's Congressman Paul, and I can't stop when it comes to him, I hate how little people care about those other BSC views. I hate it.
Thank you for reminding me that I have a ton of intelligent and rational conservative friends. Y'all keep me sane and honest.
Now he says every mil person he knows and 3/4 of all military people support Ron Paul. I'd like to know where he is getting that info. There is only one person, that I know of, on a friends list of mostly military people who are pulling for him.
Regardless, not even retirees can wear a uniform to campaign for a candidate.
I only know one mil too. H has a lot of non mil family who loves him.
He's a Corporal (an E-4).
Here's an interesting editorial on him. I don't agree with it though.
