All the cool kids that go out with their S/O

First off, sorry, I haven't been on in forever and I've actually changed my SN since I was last on.

What do ya'll do? Hubby and I have never really gone "out" together. We live past lakeway and I don't like to go downtown to drink then have to drive allll the way back home.

Do ya'll take turns drinking? Or maybe not go to bars? Are there other things to do in town?

We're trying to make new friends along with other things and I don't know where to meet anyone except to go to town.

TIA

  • We usually go to dinner or a casual bar, usually far away from downtown. Sometimes we'll see a cover band, but again, usually not near downtown. Radio Star and other bands frequently play at places like Sherlocks, and we love to hang out at the Flying Saucer.
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

  • Ditto pp. We don't go downtown often. We'll go to movies, go bowling, out to dinner, or listen to live bands. Sherlocks and Threadgills are our go-to places for live music. There is plenty of things to do around Austin.

  • We don't stray too far from home (NW Austin) and we either have one person lay off the drinking or both take it easy.

On NYE we went downtown and it was exhausting! There was a time where that was "my thing" but it's not anymore.
