Rusty officially quit his job today. I am terrified! We have started our own business. It is a finish carpentry business. He is going to be the main installer for my parents (who own a door business) and he is also getting work through other general contractors in our area. He went in to his (old) work this morning for the weekly meeting and talked with the owners and a couple other people that he is comfortable with and told them what he is wanting to do. They all decided that it would be best if he just quit right then (they wanted him to run a job, but if he did then someone would of got laid off so he told them that he would just be done today).
He has been working nights and weekends trying to get his business off the ground and it is to the point where it was too much. He came by my office around 10:30 and told me what happened during the meeting.
I knew this was coming and I wanted it to come sooner rather than later (mainly because I want to get our income stable so we can have another baby!), but I am still nervous/scared that it is here. We are totally ready though. We have all of the insurance stuff squared away (liability, commercial auto, and workers' comp), all legal stuff taken care of as far as the LLC goes, they are both on my insurance as of 1/1/12 and he has jobs lined out. It is good timing and we are ready!
When he left my office this morning he went straight to a job. I have faith that it is going to be an easy transition, but some good luck nestie vibes wouldn't hurt!
Thanks for reading my rambling. I'm excited and I think some of our friends are tired of listening to us because that seems to be all we have talked about lately!
