I hoped that WVU would win (and kind of thought they might) but I NEVER imagined Clemson would get destroyed like that.

I watched the first part then went to bed. I was so sad for my team. I never imagined it would be like that. I don't know what happened.
The worst part of it, though, is the reaction from classless fans. I saw many nasty comments, mostly on FB, directed toward Clemson. Most of them were USC fans, but there were some others. I can't believe that some people have such little class that they have to resort to comments like that. It's not your team, you have nothing invested in the game, so why be an a$$hole?
Madelyn, you always complain about classless Bama fans, but you lack more class than any football fan I know. And you aren't even an alum of the stupid school.

I did not watch the game, nor care who won, but if you think Madelyn's comment about how she wanted Clemson to win is classless and being an a$$hole, then I think you need to get off the internet. Seriously. Have you read any comments on any sports blog? She just wanted a team she didn't like to lose - I do that every time the Dallas Cowboys play. NBD.
You obviously don't know her very well. She makes posts like this all the time, and I just had to say something.

I'm so sorry that I don't like your coach. Or your school for that matter. I'm a bit surprised that it hurts you this much, but whatever.
I don't see what the big deal is about not liking a school and wanting them to lose--that's pretty much what you do/how you feel about USCe so...
You are right, I didn't graduate from Auburn. I've just worked here in admissions and fundraising since 2008 and my husband has been in athletics here since then as well. Between that and the fact that we support Auburn in many ways (attendance at events, sporting and otherwise, financially, etc.), I think I have cause enough to cheer for AU. Sorry if that isn't good enough for you. But it isn't like I randomly picked AU and started cheering for them/supporting them so don't make it seem like that is the case.
It isn't my opinion that the Orange Bowl was a blow out, it is a fact. It isn't my fault WVU had a record breaking game.
And that's all I'll say about it. You are obviously upset that people dislike Clemson/Dabo. I guess the difference is I can handle people not liking Auburn and our coaches for whatever reason they may have. Not everyone is going to agree and/or like/dislike the same teams. As the pp said, it is NBD to me and, well, most football fans...

Madelyn, you do come across as very negative. It is one thing to support your team but it's another to HATE as many teams as you seem to. Until recently, your posts on the nest were the only representation of an Auburn fan that I have seen IRL or online. You may want to think about how you represent "the Auburn family" with all of your negativity.
