As a person and in my life - always early. For work.....it's harder. Since I have to do daycare in the morning and that limits my train and than I have the x factor of how long it'll take to get to the office from the train, blah blah. Technically I'll say after 9 is "late" and I'm never at my desk before 9:05.
I also walk out at 5:00 to start the trek to get Jane and our day ends at 5:30.
Who is a model employee? This girl.
I am typically ~30 minutes early. Our "core hours" are 7:30-5:30 M-Th & 7:30-11:30 Fr.
Unless I hit the gym before work, I am here by 7am. If the gym happens, I am here right on time.
I've been late a handful of times - people love to give my sh*t about being late.

We don't have set hours either but I leave at 4 which means I should be here at 7. I don't exactly make that 7 o'clock deadline. I went through a spell where I was between 15-30 minutes late every day and I had to have a pep talk with myself. No one is here until 8 or 8:30 so that whole accountability thing goes at the window. I'm closer to 10 minutes late now. I should've made that my resolution.
I'm anal about being on time for appts or fun places that, ya know, I actually want to be on time for. Work doesn't fall in that category.
I'm usually right on time. My official hours are 8-5.
I barely have 10 minute commute and unless I wake up after 7:30- there is really no reason why I'm not here by 8am.
Some morning I stop by DD but I'm still at my desk by 8:05.
I'm salary and regularly stay late, work through lunch ect so I usually just aim to get here before 8:15/8:30- especially if I have worked late the day before.
Life of mrsjanks
Well since I started a new job this, I have been 5 minutes early or right on time at 7am.
Before this week, I was usually about 15-20 minutes late, I was in the whatever camp for the last several months:)
My employer is very lax about it and I do daycare drop-off with Nora, so I'm almost always 10-15 minutes late. I usually get to my desk at 8:40, when I'm supposed to be there at 8:30. But it's very common for people to roll in anywhere between 8:20 and 8:50, so *shrug*.
The only days they are strict about it is on Tuesdays for our all-staff meetings right at 8:30. It pisses them off when people walk into that late, so I'm always on time on Tuesdays (DH takes Nora to daycare those mornings, which helps immensely).
