exec admin goals?

My GM's direct reports (me included) have been asked to write down our 10 goals for 2012.

Other than the general 'do my job' I have only been able to come up a few; continue processing the billings with speed and accuracy, identify areas in which I can add value to the division and become more knowledgeable about the company & the business.

Does anyone have any general goals for an exec admin?

Re: exec admin goals?

  • This is a lame request for several reasons 1. He should be mandating the larger portion of these goals 2. They should be consistent with your peers so as to consistently evaluate your performance 3. 10 is way too many goals.

That said, I'll try to help;)

As much as possible, goals should be measurable. Is your accuracy tracked?  You may want to say that you will meet 95% accuracy in data entry and 98% accuracy in filing. You can break this down to as many goals as are tracked. And set your targets either above your previous performance or at or above the medians/means for your group.

Do you have any skills you would like to learn?  Classes you would like to take?

Is there a project you can complete--eg give a presentation at fall conference.

Set turnaround times--process all bills within 3 days of receipts, etc.

    Hope those help a little!
