jumped ship to the new and improved nest. back to TB for baby boards.
he likes really intricate designed stuff with shading and lots of details.. his latest thing is like an angel/grim reaper.. i hate the idea and am also really not interested in spending any extra money on that.. i'm sure what he'll end up picking will be something that is better but who knows. i'm worried.
Worried about what? The design? Regret?
well first off, he changes his mind all the time. 2 months ago, what he wanted was completely different. he also wants a sleeve.. which is interesting. i would be totally fine with it, but i think he needs to figure out what he wants and stick with that for a mnute before he gets it tattooed. i know the person who will do it is going to do a great job. his friend gets tattooed by this guy and his tattoos are really nice. i'm also scared that it will be too morbid. i know it's not on my body but i have to look at it. i'm such an assshole. thanks for asking me questions so i can realize how i sound. i should let him do it.. i just want him to make an educated decision.
also.. his idea is that he'll do evil on one sleeve and good on another. i hate this idea. his last idea was start with his bday or our wedding day around his wrist and work up to his shoulder with his entire life.. i'm confused. it just doesn't make sense.
i keep telling him that he should think as if each piece is his last.. would it translate or would he love it the same without all the other stuff he wants...
Does he have any right now?

And yes, I'm just playing devils advocate. I love tattoos.
no he has none now. yes, he can do whatever he wants. lol. i love them too, i thnk they're sexy. i just want him to love what he gets. i'm thinking about going down and making an appt for him and then surprising him by bringing him down. maybe i should wait for valentine's day. that way if he still wants the same tattoo, i know its real.

That said, I hope he puts good thought into them. I have a cover-up tattoo and it hurt and took a ton of ink and forever to cover up. It wasn't a bad tattoo, just was more cartoon-ish than I wanted.
You're awesome for loving him no matter what. My DH has no desire to have tattoos but supports my habit
That said mine are all flowers, except my grandmas name, so it's a bit hard to argue with.

My foot tattoo which supposedly is one of the worst places to get done was 2 1/2 hours in one sitting.
My back piece took over 10 hours spread over 4 or 5 sittings and cost a small fortune.
