Need help with a presentation
I have been assigned to read a book for my job and informally present to my mgr. I can have 3 ppt slides if I need them but the goal is to speak to her in an informal setting about the book. I am almost done with the book but having problems organizing my thoughts or where to even start ie: should I make an outline, note cards etc. I have highlighted and have sticky notes on important pages and now I need some guidance to the next steps.
Thank you! I am rusty with this....
Re: Need help with a presentation
Hi, yes that is correct so it is kinda like a book report. She states that if you can not rely information verbally then you did not understand what your read... UGGG...
So I am trying to organize my thoughts and how to reiterate what I read.
Thanks!
Very common for my workplace; I have done around 15 of these informal/learning presentations. Usually, a mentor or senior leadership recommends a business book to read then wants to informally discuss the book at the next mentor session.
I outline the following:
Slide 1: Title/Author/Field
Slide 2: Top 3 concepts from the book important to me
Slide: How to apply top 3 to my current and/or future role
It is very personal and no right or wrong responses; it is what the book provided to you to make you better.
