I had not heard or read about this because I am apparently oblivious to current events. However, I spent the whole article thinking "Why is the acronym SOPA, when the act is 'Stop Internet Piracy Act'?" Only when I got to the end of the article did I see that it's called the "Stop Online Piracy Act".
