I know I'm not happy about this hire and have heard some Pats fans say they didn't understand the hire because really..Brady is already established, so it's not like this guy is THAT great as a coach. But I'm open to hearing what you think.

Yeah, I will do my best. I think it's just hard because of how much they have screwed up this whole situation. They took SO long to make this hire and screwed the current/interim head coach out of going anywhere else..when he has (and is STILL to this day) doing everything he can for that school and because he was a coach during Paterno's day...he gets balled into the category with the disgusting Sandusky of needing to go?! Not okay.
I do feel bad for the situation O'Brien is coming in to because people are upset with the Board & AD..but it's going to come off bad for him.
Oh, I definitely agree with you about them blackballing the interim coach, it's really not fair. And, if O'Brien is able to turn this around given the circumstances, it will be a miracle. But, specifically to his coaching abilities, I don't think he'll be too bad.
