bras

I know it's almost quitting time but I just wanted to throw this one out there. Where you do guys buy your bras? My size has changed since losing weight, so this week I went to VS and bought a couple new ones (they're having their big sale.) I had 2 people measure me, and one told me I was the size I was wearing at the time, which I knew was too big. The other told me a smaller band size but larger cup size which surprised me. It's not quite perfect, but I feel a lot better today wearing something that fits.

Re: bras

  • I've heard that most ppl would be more comfortable in a smaller band size and a larger cup size.

I buy mine at Kohls typically. For daily wear, I love the Barely There line.

  • I am cheap so I usually get mine at Wal Mart. I got my nursing bras at Target.  I used to get fancy bras at VS when they had their semi-annual clearance sales.  I don't think any of those fit me anymore.

  • I wear the Cacique brand sold at Lane Bryant. They come in all sizes so it might be something to check out even if you don't fit into the Lane Bryant body type. They're really comfortable and hold up really well. Normally they're priced about $30-$35 and they have sales often.

  • Before becoming PG and nursing I only wore VS bras.  I can't wait to be able to wear a nice bra with underwire again.

  • I really like VS. I tried a Soma one recently after thinking surely there was better than VS and I hated it.
  • Im also a Lane Bryant Girl. (especially during their BOGO sale)!

They just had their buy 2 get 2 sale and I really wanted to stock up but since I have no idea what size I'm going to need as I lose weight I didn't. Maybe by the next sale I'll need some new smaller bras.

Do they sell every size in the store? I used to buy that brand when it was its own company and loved it.

I'm almost certain they do. I know they have all cup sizes for sure and they sell even more sizes on the website.

If they do, this is a recent change. I bought some bras there a few years ago and they had to look in the back for my size because it was the smallest size they had and they said they didn't get many in. It was either a 36D or DD.

  • I'm in need of some new bras too, the girls are the first thing to shrink when I lose weight.

Maybe it depends on the store. I know my local store carries sizes smaller than that.
