Noodle update

The vet says he has a high fever :(  But he seemed to be checking for bloat/blockage and didn't find anything (lots of attention on the stomach with his hands/equipment).  He gave a shot of anti-biotic and some anti-biotic pills to bring home.  He also said Noodle had lost too much weight since Sept.  Crying  So he drew blood and is going to call me in the morning with some results.  On the plus side, he hasn't puked at all since early yesterday, and he has eaten a bit today and has been drinking plenty.

Now I have to decide if I'm going to sacrifice my thermometer to the dog's a$$ and get myself a new one later or go out right now and get a new one for the dog...  And I have to figure out how to make sure we NEVER mix them up.

Poor Noodle. I hope he feels better soon.

And I recommend giant letters in black sharpie written across the dog's thermometer. That's how we distinguish peanut butter around here. Although, a mistake at your house would be much more disgusting.

Yes, yes it would Ick!.  Maybe I'll write on it an hide it somewhere so that it's impossible to grab by accident.

  • Yea!  Temp has gone down from 104.5* to 102.4*.  I'm down one thermometer, and I feel a bit bad doing that to the poor guy, but I'm glad to know it's almost back down to normal.  Thanks for all the advice last night.
