So I just sent out two job applications.  My head is swimming and my heart is pounding.  These would be big changes for me.

I currently teach at a small liberal arts university in the middle of a cornfield and I have a 2 hour commute each way.  One of these new positions is in a very urban university  20 minutes from my house.  The other is at another state university nearby but is at one of their branch campuses.  It would be an hour drive, but we would eventually move out that way since DH works on that side of town as well.  

I would love either position.  They also both come with a $15,000-$20,000 pay raise along with paying into state pension so those are nice perks as well.

They both sound like they would be a great opertunity for you. A four hour a day commute sounds hellish, not having to do that five days a week, I'm sure would be amazing! They pay raise wouldn't be too bad either I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
