ughh got too comfortable

I never really put any stock in it when people say they "got too comfortable" in a marriage or relationship...I have been married for a year and have known my hubby for 10 years so I figured that it would be impossible to get too comfortable. LOL well I was wrong. I haven't worked out in months, or really watched what I've eaten, and I am starting to feel the effects of it. I don't like how I look with this weight I've put on, nor do I like how I feel about myself. I feel like it's impacting our sex life too because I'm not happy with my body right now. I've been going out with girl friends more often, and "dressing up," I guess hubby was bothered by it but didn't say anything about it until it boiled over. He and I go on dates but I usually don't try to look any fancier or better than my normal self. Anyway, those things being said, I am now joining the ranks of those who believe in the dangers of getting "too comfortable" and not that it can ruin a marriage but, I guess now I agree that you have to make sure you're taking care of yourself and also dressing up or doing something a little different for hubby once in awhile. Just my thoughts. Now that it came to a point where I had an emotional meltdown about how I feel about my body and how it's affecting other parts of my life...I can finally do something about it lol.
