We went to Chez Olga for dinner.
Oh my goodness, oh my goodness. The food was incredible. The staff was welcoming and so friendly. I could tell multiple tables must have been semi-regulars as the staff remembered them and chatted them all up. Olga herself greeted us and took our order. She was so good with Henry and brought us a mango lemonade for him that was out of control delicious.
Henry had a black bean and avocado salad (they held the lettuce) I had a beef friend plantain sandwich with spicy coleslaw (Pikliz?) I could have eaten a pound of it. Spicy, lime-y cabbage and onion. Mike had chicken and shrimp gumbo. It was awesome. He ordered it at a 3 on the spice scale of 10. A little heat but it didn't overpower the flavor of the spices.
There were some vegetarian options and at least one vegan option (a potato lasagna)
The only downside was the service was very leisurely. Don't go if you are in a hurry or are impatient
Though Henry is generally both of these things and he handled it well.
Here is an old mlive link about it:
