There are supposed to be massive protests here tomorrow

The verdict is expected in the sodomy trial of the opposition leader.  A permit has been granted for assembly outside of the High Court (which is not too far from our place).  The area they've set aside only fits a couple thousand people and they're expecting much more.  If he's convicted (again as this is his second trial), I'm not so sure that the protests will stay confined to the allotted place.

I'm really hoping that doesn't happen for the purely selfish reason that I have places to go tomorrow.  The last time there were protests this summer they shut down all the major highways.

ETA: I just realized I forgot my entire reason for posting this.  The friends I'm supposed to meet are friends of ours from the US who are coming up to stay with us.  They don't know the area and I have no idea how we're going to meet up if the roads are closed because they won't be able to get a taxi either.

**Keeping my fingers crossed that I can get into the city center tomorrow to pick up some friends from the train station.**

Vibes would be appreciated.
