Anyone need a hunter?

Pups and I went to a huge park today with a big lake, lots of birds, etc. I hadn't been in over a year and the goose population has exploded. The girls got super excited and I lost my balance and dropped their leashes. Within seconds they are flying through the air and they EACH caught a gosling! I was horrified, yelled for them to stop, and they did, each with a bird half in their mouth, half pinned on the ground.

They did let go, and the birds hopped up unharmed (yay for soft mouthes) but OMG! I was so embarrassed. There was a small group of people staring with their hands over their mouths, another small group laughing hysterically.

While it was awful (I don't know what I would do if they actually killed the birds), It was amazing to see them acting on instinct. I wish they actually had opportunities to hunt. Fetching a ball has nothing on a live bird.
