Old Orchard Beach
We are close to signing a contract to rent a cottage at Old Orchard Beach in Maine. Anyone familiar with the area? Our kids will be 3 1/2 and 1 yr 9 months. The cottage is about 1/2 mile from the pier and 1000 yards to the beach. We want to be close to downtown so there is plenty for us to do, yet we don't want to be too close to the craziness (wild crowds, partying, loudness, etc). Are we to far from the beach for the kids to walk??? Any thoughts or recommendations for what we should do besides the beach and downtown area? Thank you!!
