Ways of preventing erosion???

DH and I just bought a house on a hillside with very rocky/sandy soil. There is a house down the hill from us and we have to prevent our lawn from eroding into theirs. How would you go about doing this cheaply? We are considering just keeping the backyard "all natural" and throwing some wildflower seeds back there.

WDYT?

Re: Ways of preventing erosion???

  • Wildflower seeds are not going to hold a rocky, sandy soil.   I'd consult a landscaper.  You don't have to pay them top dollar - many will come out for a free initial visit and give you some advice, and if you need more assistance they may charge you a small fee to give advice and then you do the work.

Unfortunately I have to be honest with you - if nothing has been done to prep the hill, this is not going to be a cheap solution if it is done right.
