On the condition of your friend, or whether they found the driver?

I had a good friend who was killed by a drunk driver a few years ago. We were really close as children (they were our rear neighbors) and I still remember playing in the yard and having him show up at the fence and climbing over to play with us. He was such a good guy.
He was riding a motorcycle and was killed by a drunk driver who hit him from behind (in Florida also). They found the guy who did it, but for reasons unclear to me, have not ever arrested or charged him. They found him because the accident had ruptured some fluid holding thing on the undercarriage of the truck and he leaked fluid all the way home. They found the truck parked in the driveway. He had a suspended license for drunk driving I believe (and I'm sure the dude was drunk again). He was the same age as my friend (both 26 at the time).

I hope your friend pulls through, and I hope they find (and prosecute) the individual responsible.
