Does anyone know how the streets/hwy are getting to Pearland (288/beltway 8) from the Montrose/ Univ of St Thomas?
Re: Street flooding?
Transtar is a good resource for stuff like this, it shows high water locations if you click on the individual areas.

im in the bellaire/ greenway plaza area... its flooded.
one of my co-workers left 15 mins ago to drive 3 miles home... she still is not there.
FM 521/Almeda Road was originally constructed to be the emergency evacuation route, before 288 was ever a large freeway. It has almost always been passable when the water on 288 was too high. There is a bridge near Airport that had some high water on it so it is not immune from flooding especially with newer development growing up around it, but I have found that it is generally a safe(r) bet if you are ever in doubt. I wish it was more clearly depicted on Transtar though.

It took a co-worker 2 1/2 hours to get from 610 and Post Oak to Meyerland.
This morning I drove in from Sugar Land and had no problems until I got to 610. Every feeder street in the loop on 59 was flooded. I had to exit Main. Then most of the surface streets were flooded. I finally got back to 59. After 2 1/2 I got to 610 and Post Oak.
