F/U to Interview

Well, it wasn't really an interview, which was what I had hoped for. It was just a meeting and giving me paperwork. So I got the job fortunately.  It seems like a nice school, the kids seemed well behaved and it's very close to us. It's just subbing but at least it's something on my resume and if they like me it could lead to something FT next fall if we decide to stay in the area. It won't be much money but it's something coming in. Since we don't know what will happen with Drew's pressure sore, it's probably all I am available to do right now. I won't start until next week when all the paperwork is processed.

Whatever they need a sub for when a teacher calls out. It's a private school so they have K-12 all on one campus. Since you don't technically need a credential to teach at private schools, they could ask me to sub for any grade. But I asked to be called primarily for  the secondary school. Subbing usually isn't really teaching, more like babysitting. But if they needed me to actually teach, my credential is in social studies.

Yea! Maybe having that flexibility will be a good thing, given your dh's situation. I can't believe it opened up just because he got out of bed -- did I understand that correctly? Keeping you guys in my thoughts (totally should have put this in the other post you mentioned the sore, not the one celebrating your accomplishment, duh!)

No, no that's okay. They're so connected in my consciousness. Really, there's so little going on for us besides getting him healed and me getting a job. Yes, it did open up because he got out of bed. It probably got snagged slightly on something when he transferred (slides across a board from bed to chair and chair to bed). It is basically a little hole, it doesn't look like the previous sores he's had, Those were much bigger but bleeding didn't happen really at all. It's good that there's not penalty for declining work because I am sure things will be unpredictable. Some districts penalize if decline work more than once within a few week period.
