cschissell

hi! i bought the scotch advanced tape glider. i think you have that, right? so far it's working okay but i was wondering if you have any tips or tricks. it's a little temperamental with the tape when i am at the end of the page and wanted to "break" it. i just went through one roll and need to reload. it lasted a long time but it's a little complicated loading it. perhaps i'll get used to that. i need to dig out the instructions.

Re: cschissell

  • Yeah.  That is the one I have.  I can't think of any tips or tricks.  I don't tend to have much of an issue with it, but for my purposes if the line of adhesive doesn't go all the way to the edge of the paper it isn't usually an issue because my stuff normally goes in to page protectors.  I also just tend to look at the little image on the inside of mine when reloading.  I never really had any problems reloading it, but I know quite a few people do and it just takes awhile to get used to.
  • Thanks! It seems to be working a little better today with the reload, or perhaps the user has gotten a little better with it ;-). I noticed it was leaving a gap at the top of the page but found if I angle it forward it helps a little. I also tape the edges by turning the page rather than lifting it up so then there is only one "break" at the very end. It seems to be a lot better. I'm sure I'll get used the loading, too. I'm just not very patient with stuff like that. Thanks again!
