Sorry, gross anal sac question.
My 7 year old chocolate lab's anal sacs leak every couple of years. Tonight, it happened on my son's bed! Since I can't bring him to the vet now, is there any way to keep him from leaking throughout the night? He likes to sneak up on the couch, and/or my bed, when I'm asleep.
What you think, you will become.
Re: Sorry, gross anal sac question.
there is only so much room in the anal sacks so that is why they can randomly leak. If they leaked on his bed and aren't leaking now I would imagine they probably wouldn't the rest of the night.
Prevention is the best medicine with Anal glads. If it happens only every few years you could easily get them expressed every year at his annual exam to save you this hassle.
They aren't that hard to express your self. Its just gross, and they have to stay still for you which sometime is easier said than done.
He probably leaked them all out. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
You are lucky, my girl needs hers emptied about once a month!
