Substitute teaching and the resume...

If you were to sub for more than one school district, would you list each one individually or would you just list it like the following?  I have mine listed under Educational Experience:

Substitute Teacher, Teacher?s Assistant-Grades K-6

XYZ Charter School, No Man's Land, CA, October 2011-present

La La Area School District, Somewhere, CA May 2011-present

?  Ensure educational continuity ...

?  Adhere to ...

?  Instruct ...

 etc...

Just seems redundant if I list each one separately vs. listing the title and lumping them together, but would this offend showing I've subbed for a few places?  I have 2 more districts I hope to add (since the calls are few/far between...).

Thanks!

Re: Substitute teaching and the resume...

  • I'd do it the way you are. But if you ever have a long term sub position list that under "experience" not "educational experience."

    Double ditto.

  • Interesting...

Well, I taught a LONG time ago, so I have that and the subbing under Ed experience.  I had a diff career and that is under the regular experience.

I would list LTS separately vs. lumping it all in with the per diem subbing IF I get one! (keep fingers crossed!)

    Thanks for your input!

  • Are they all in the same county? Mine are, so on my resume I list them as XXX County Department of Education.
