Or any other similar home security thing?
We want to get it in the new house.
Sometimes DoggyE wants to leave our bedroom at night and go sleep on the couch or something, so I wonder if we can get it if she's going to be up and about on the first floor?
Any thoughts/opinions?
Re: Does anyone have ADT?
We have an alarm system and always had one growing up as well.
The setting when you're at home is different from when the house is empty. Basically the motion detectors are turned off if you're in the house. I suppose you could have it set up so that specific ones are on and others are off, but I'm not sure. So DoggyE shouldn't be able to set off alarms.
Oh, that makes much more sense! I never had one growing up so I don't know anything about them.
We are actually moving to an even safer area that we are in now, but we figured we would look in to getting one anyway lol
Yes, we're on our 3rd house with ADT. You can get it without motion detectors. We never got them because of the cat.
If you're eligible for USAA, you can get a great discount through them.
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010
Don't drink the water.

We have it in our condo, keep in mind it's very small. My sister has it and her dog is all over their house (2 stories) all night and day.
Customer service- excellent.
DoggyB tripped the (what was a faulty sensor) alarm early one morning and ADT called and had the cops there within 15 minutes. I was alone and totally terrified but it was okay. They replaced the part? for free that day and no problems since.
We would use them in a new house in a heartbeat. Because our DHs are gone a bit, I would recommend getting one- you just never know.
