What sort of activities do you all do in the winter? Family or alone apart from the obvious snow sports....

Re: Winter activity poll
I feel silly saying this, but swimming. Not only because it's what I do, but because swimming was always a winter sport where I grew up. High School season was November - March and then we had a bit of a break before starting summer club (usually 3 weeks). When the weather starts to get cool and the evenings get darker earlier I always miss swimming.
Now that I have a pool 15 feet from my desk and I live and breath swimming on a 40+ hour weekly basis I don't swim unless I absoluetly have to
I guess it is an obvious winter sport - but I always love ice skating when you can do it outside. Then when you get done you are all cold and rosy and you can go get a hot chocolate (or a toddie) and watch the other skaters. It is just so "winter" to me.
I haven't done it this year or last, but I look forward to getting Coop on skates as soon as I can.
Other than that, my usual winter activity is eating.

We snowshoe, though we haven't been this year, as DS is nearly too big for the backpack but probably too small for snowshoes.
We tend to stay inside a lot. I quilt and do various projects, etc. around the house a lot this time of year. Otherwise its stuff that just kind of crops up, either with friends or stuff that sounds interesting at the time.
I also like to try and go to the stock show every other year or so.
