Please Think of my DH

We are going to the hospital today for his pressure sore. We have to arrange for an ambulance to pick him up because he can't sit or transfer into/go from his bed to his chair without causing complications right now. It's hard to know how long he will be in the hospital because we don't know if they will be able to do surgery since it's near where they did it before. They cannot do it in the same place twice. They may send him home after doing some kind of treatments since we have the kind of medical bed that is for healing and preventing sores. But he won't be out of bed for quite awhile because they take so long to heal. And if they can't do surgery they may not be able to do anything really. Pressure sores are eventually deadly if they don't heal. To give a frame of reference, he had two that were infected while we were engaged. And those ultimately took 2 years to deal with, including surgery and recovery. Please think healing thoughts for him. Thanks!

Thanks everyone, it's definitely sucky. I'm holding up but, as Drew says, you do because you have to. We ended up having to schedule the ambulance for tomorrow at 10:30 AM. I went out and got him a couple of chili dogs, so that's made him a little happier. My mom is still coming in a couple of days and his mom will be coming in a few days, too. At least we'll have some people here to distract and support us for a few days. It's hard to deal with it alone.
