Winter vs. Christmas decor

Do you have "winter" decor that you keep up for a longer period of time than your Christmas stuff?

I'm finally getting around to taking down our christmas decorations (partly DH's fault because I needed him to bring the boxes up for me :) and some stuff is more wintery - snowflakes, snowmen, etc.  And I'm debating if I should leave it up or just take it down too.

Re: Winter vs. Christmas decor

  • I take all my stuff down the day after Serbian Christmas.

ALL winter decorations...I'm ready for spring as soon as Christmas is over! Lol!

  • I left some of my snowmen stuff up that didn't look like it was just for Christmas, which wasn't very much, lol. I am hoping to find some kind of blue and silver ball-type ornaments or something to fill a clear vase to make it a "winter" theme...but I'm not sure I'll be able to find something like that now.

  • I have no other decorations besides Christmas decorations.  I didn't realize there was a difference. Wink We do however have our Christmas lights still hanging outside and I've told E he better have them down before Kate and Nicole get here. lol

  • I usually have some snowmen things out that I'll keep up for a little bit longer. We still have our tree up and we're going away this weekend so that will probably stay up for another 2 weeks.

  • All my decor is wintery not Christmas-y. I have Snowmen that I take out in November and leave out until February-ish.

  • We leave the snowmen and winter decor that's not Christmas-y up until February-ish. I feel weird leaving it up this year though since we've had like zero snow...but it's still up :)

  • I take it all down. It's just easier for me to lump winter in with Christmas.

  • We take all of the Christmas decorations down after Epiphany. I replace my Christmas candles & table settings with snowflake/blue/silvery ones for the rest of Winter.

  • We decorate for holidays. After we take down Christmas, up goes Valentine's Day, then St Pat's and so on and so forth. I don't think we have any seasonal decorations...
  • No, I take it all down.

Ha I told David he needed to have the Christmas lights down before he left for California (right before I leave to see you)

  • All of my decorations are Christmas themed.  We live in an apartment and I keep our stuff to a minimum to save space, (i.e. only one plastic tote full of Christmas.)  And I took them down the week after Christmas.

  • I take it all down. I do have some snowman stuff, but it all gets packed away in the attic, so it would be kind of a pain to put some away and then later put the rest of it away. Part of me wishes I was better about decorating for holidays (other than Christmas) and seasons, but I just can't be bothered.
