Where can I buy coasters?

This seems like a really obvious question, but I've scoured Target and Home Goods with no luck. Any recommendations?

ETA: I'm tempted to make my own with tiles, but won' the condensation just roll off them onto my table?

My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

Re: Where can I buy coasters?

  • Good question. I was looking at Target last month and was shocked I couldn't find any!

  • Check Cost Plus or Pier One.

Or, check dollar tree for a temporary fix and then buy these online-They're tile/stone, but they absorb moisture!

  • Bed, Bath and Beyond should have them too.

  • Ditto cost plus or pier one.  We've got glass ones that I put my own picture in but like you said, they don't absorb...the water just sits there on top.  A student gave me some pretty inlaid wood ones but they're too light and the glass just suctions to the bottom of the glass.  My mom had cork ones and bamboo ones and they worked much better than what I have now.

I made my own with tile. If you use mod podge and a clear coat on top, it should be fine. Mine work like a charm, and since I already had all of the supplies in my craft room, they only cost me about $1 for a set of 8.
