He got the job! He shoots tomorrow! His first "real" shoot/job. He IS going to be a star!
Re: OMG. E booked the job.

Congrats on building the savings account!
Will this be a nationally broadcasted thing? Is he excited about it? Does he "get" it?
How fun!
I actually don't know if it's a print ad or commercial. I didn't ask. I don't know anything but the brand. He doesn't know he booked it yet. But, he gets it to an extent. Put it this way- when they come to take the kids, one by one, to go with a stranger for their "audition", some kids cry and won't go. The kid before E did that yesterday. Drove all the way from the shore to NYC to totally forfeit. When the lady came for E, he jumped off his chair, grabbed her hand and said, "Let's go!". He didn't even look back at me to say goodbye.
I tell him we're going to New York City to get his picture taken and he says, "OKAY!" like I just told him we're going to a room full of scooters for him to play on. He loves having his picture taken and he doesn't care about being separated from his parents. Not even a hesitation. He doesn't know the picture will be in a magazine or whatever but he likes going to auditions. He was an angel the past two days in the waiting room and in the audition and was an a$$hole at the supermarket and at home.
Even if it's not, I'll be scanning and posting if it's an ad.
Way to go, E!
Apparently you don't talk about your store enough because yesterday on ML, some people thought you just let E climb on the tables of someone else's store while you took pics.

Sounds like has the system figured out.
It seems like he really enjoys it - it's fun he is booking stuff.
I was on the cover of a magazine when I was 5 and my mom STILL pulls out her copy to show people. If nothing else it will make for a good story when he is older!
Yes, I do that all the time. They get really pissed when I just pop him on the deli counter to take photos.
Why was I being discussed? Do I even want to know?
Never change.
It was a thread about putting your kid in showbiz. Someone referenced you by describing your sig and there was a little side discussion about it. I think Vinny cleared it up, though, and I don't know where else the thread went. I was reading on my phone and then forgot about it til now.

I think it came up in the random thread. Somebody made a comment about the fact that they don't like that parents let their kids go on auditions. It turned into a conversation. Somebody mentioned you (not knowing who you are - just that somebody from RE has a kid that does it). Then somebody was wondering why your kid was standing on tables in a store.
Somebody. I like to use that word a lot apparently.
That was pretty much it. The conversation went on about the overall topic, but nothing more specifically about TSD.
I put in my two cents about how I don't see the big deal. If the parent keeps the kid grounded/doesn't put too much stress on any one audition, whatever.
Edited to remove snarky comment and to add:
Flameful, not randoms. In case you care enough to look

YES Kiz! I did it as a kid because we lived in NYC and the agent lived in the building. It was much easier back then to break into it. I don't have me as Quincy Adams as a baby in The Adams Chronicles. But I think I can buy it on Amazon for like hundreds of dollars. I only did commercials though- I never saw any print stuff.
Not that I care what anyone thinks of it obviously, but he's in pre-school (he's not even 3 yet) and I normally don't/won't take him out of school, even at this age, for it so I don't see the harm. Either he's home with me watching Nemo and General Hospital or he's getting paid to smile and do whatever. He doesn't have school tues/thurs and this audition, callback and the shoot are all sun/tue/thurs. Next year when he's in school full-time he may not be able to do it because I don't want to take him out for this unless it's a sure thing.
He's not shaking his thang on a stage, wearing fake teeth, spray tan, and daisy dukes. Or drinking gogo juice or whatever they called it and eating pixy stix on T&T. There are varying degrees of stage mom/momagers.
