Need to get motivated...

I need to get motivated and do something around this house but, I'm just so tired! Any advice/ suggestions?

I have seen some dirty/messy houses but the houses on Hoarders continue to amaze me. I cannot fully understand how you can let it get to the point where you cannot walk through a room/the entire floor is covered and it's stacking higher and higher. Yikes!!

Stop by MIL's house. She's not a dirty hoarder, but she's got sh!t stacked so high you can't even go into one of the guest rooms. One day she was in there and got trapped under some stuff that fell and was calling for my FIL. He didn't hear her yelling and when he finally got up to go get something out of their bedroom, he heard her. By that time she was crying. He told her she needs to do something with all that crap. I've been saying that for years myself...

We all have days like this...even us OCD ones!   Just do the "surface cleaning" & little things if you're not totally into it. 

Make a list and check-off as you go.  I find that it helps to write down everything you have to do, so you don't feel as overwhelmed and feel like things are more in your control.

This is kind of preaching to the choir, but I found that making a schedule and "appointments" for cleaning is helping me.  If I schedule a time to do laundry, to cook some ahead-of-time meals, to sweep the floor.... it's much more likely to get done than if I just say, "I'll get to it soon."

I make myself clean in between commercials sometimes haha. Sometimes I'm so lazy it's the only way I get anything done. A commercial will come on, and I'll run clean the toilet and spray the bathtub and run back. Another commercial, I'll scrub down the toilet and spray the bathroom sink (to soften up the toothpaste and soap scum). And etc lol. It might take me an hour to clean the bathroom, but hey! At least I got something accomplished

 That's such an awesome idea, I am struggling with motivation lately here as well.
