XP: selling jewelry: white gold
HI Ladies-
Thought I'd post here, too...
I've been meaning to sell my wedding set for a while now, and I also have a few other pieces of jewelry I'd like to get rid of as well. I have a necklace that is white gold with sapphire/diamond and my wedding set is also the same. I also have a small gold chain that I'd just like to sell for any price. Do gold buyers also buy white gold? I'm sure it's not he same cost, but I don't want to get like $100 for everything, KWIM? I haven't had experience with this. Or should I not even go to a place that buys back gold? Pawn shops have me way skeptical.
Thanks!

Re: XP: selling jewelry: white gold
My jeweler (Goldfield's in Sunnyvale) has been doing a lot of buying of gold and DH has a bunch of my old stuff to go to him (with a couple things for repair, I'm hoping we can swap) but I don't know how the whole thing works. I'd rather deal with someone I know than send it off to some (questionable) company though.
You could also have what you have re-designed. Earrings? Pendant? Steve does a great job!
Thanks! I'm up in the PNW now, otherwise I'd take local recs! I definately don't want to send it off...that's way sketchy. I think I may take it to a local shop that's been around for 100 years and see what they offer.
I really don't want it resigned...bring back bad memories and I'd rather put it towards debt.
