the vitamin avenger?

Or something close to that title is what the Vitamin Cottage lady is dressed as in the new commercial. I stopped midway across the living room an exclaimed "oh mylanta!" when I saw her zipping across the fake comic book background, wearing a costume she appears to have stolen from Aqua Man's wife. (Trying to explain why she gets such a reaction to Todd was surprisingly hard, btw.) Is this old and I just hadn't seen it?

  • I just saw it the other day, too. And I just flat out couldn't explain to Josh. He looked at me like I had grown an extra head :).

  • I haven't see this commercial yet.  I can't wait!
  • I saw a new one with gay space cowboy!

  • Oh Vitamin Cottage, will you never learn?
  • Damn I haven't seen it yet. I watch too much TV on the DVR to really see any commercial.

Their commercials may be crazy, but they do get people talking.

  • I never watch TV anymore, but I would love to see these!  What channel are they typically on... I can have the TV on in the background.

I talk about them but have never shopped there.    Whole Foods?  All the time.  Sunflower Market?  Frequently-semi regularly.  Sprouts?  All the time when we lived in SE Aurora and it was down the street.   Wild Oats?  Would be my store of choice if there was one closer.  Yet there's a Vitamin Cottage just as close to me as some of these other and I've never once set foot in one and don't have plans to.   I'm honestly so turned off by the commercials that I just can't take the store seriously.

Wild Oats is WF now.  Which is why Keri has to go to SF Market, because WF eats my Whole Bank Account.

But I don't like the way Natural Grocers is set up at all - their stores are NOT user friendly.  I drive past one to get to SF market on a weekly basis, and don't even bat an eye.

I had no idea!  Well I guess I do shop at Wild Oats then. Stick out tongue But yeah, pricey.  I only go there with a strict list and without little mister grab everything off the shelf that catches his eye with me.

You mean you don't shop weekly at Whole Paycheck? ;)

I've maybe gone once into Vitamin Cottage.  Not really sure why I have an aversion to it.  The commercials are just TOO much though.  *runs off to find Superhero Vitamin Cottage Crazy

    Can't wait!

I love shopping at Vitamin Cottage.  :)

  • I cannot wait to see this commercial. I shop there when I need weird ingredients (flax meal, brewers yeast) and I don't feel like trekking to WF or dealing with their crowds. I think the prices are better at Vitamin Cottage. I'm less temped to buy crap I don't need b/c other than my specific ingredients there isn't much else there I want.
