Definitely not. I watched the whole season and I was beyond confused.

I think it's because they were bouncing back and forth in time. I think it was the past (the diner burning down) then it jumped to the future...everyone freaking out, possibly something happening to Nathan, Dan getting revenge (the whole "let me handle the killings" bit,) then we jumped back to present day One Tree Hill. I'm guessing we'll get to the crazy near the end of the season. It was really confusing though.

I kept freaking out while Brooke was driving around. It seemed like she was going to fall asleep at the wheel and something would happen to the babies. It was all very strange. I really wasn't following the whole sleep walking thing either. They were all in such a good place when last season left off. I'm really not happy with all of the impending doom foreshadowing.

I was at first because they started the episode in the future but when they came back to the present they didn't do a "3 months earlier" tag for instance.

But the diner burning down was a little misleading because I think they showed that scene during the "flash forward" but that obviously happened in their present.

But besides that I like the episode and I'm looking forward to the rest of the final season.

Juilan was getting beat up...
Dan and Chris Keller doing what ever...
the whole clay/quinn thing makes no sense

I'm glad I'm not the only one.  I missed the first 20 minutes so I was thoroughly confused.  I thought I read somewhere that there was going to be another time jump by about 4 years but there didn't seem to be.  Am I right in thinking this?

You're correct. By the age of the babies we can tell that it didn't jump ahead.

Also, what was with Haley and all of the open doors? I'm guessing they'll slowly give us all of the pieces to the puzzle up until they get to the crazy that started off last night's episode.

I didn't even know it started again... lol. 

I read that the series finale will have a 5-year time jump.

At the very beginning with all the action, my first thought was SHIIT, then I thought about it and I wonder if it's part of a movie? Maybe something to do with Julian's career?

Also, any time someone gets in a car and drives in OTH, I am terrified they're going to get into a wreck and someone is going to die. I was nearly covering my eyes the entire time because I didn't want to see what was bound to happen. The writers have conditioned us to feel like that!

Chris Keller was... awesome. His personality is going to be a lot of fun.

I was sitting there this morning watching it on my Tivo with my mouth open most of the time--really confusing.  I will be bull if they kill off Nathan after watching him and Haley for 9 years

I'm so glad I read this thread before watching the episode. I would have been so much more confused than I am now. I agree with a PP though, I feel like the episode didn't accomplish anything!

So I'm late in this but I read from several sources yesterday (EW and E! I think both had articles) that the beginning was showing the cast at all their low points of this season.  It said that not all of them take place at the same time / episode (which is why I assume they couldn't do the 3 months prior thing because those moments were all at different times) but we would see how all those characters got to those places.  One of the stories interview Steven Colletti (sp?) and he said none of those moments take place in the finale episode.
