What do you have to AW about this week?
Re: AW Thursday
DH and I were trying to decide on what time frame we wanted to fly down to FL the other night. While deciding, airfare actually went down. I got all excited and went too book & while booking it went back up, but only by $10 so it was still cheaper.
So, we booked a flight at a pretty decent price and are now going to FL in April.
I can't wait!
Yay for a long weekend!!! You should take before and after pictures of your hair. I want to see!! Have fun!
Oooooh, that's exciting!! What airline are you going with?
I don't really have anything too noteworthy this week, but the random things that I'm excited about on this day include:
The Dermatologist called yesterday and said that the results of my mole that they removed last week were benign, so thank God for that! I really had no great reason to worry about it being anything bad other than some scary sites on the internet and the Dr. saying that there was a small chance it could be. I was still relieved though since I had been kinda' worried about it for a while now.
DH and I went over the weekend for our selections appt. for the new house. I'm feeling really good about 95% of our selections, and the ones that I'm not totally confident on I'm going to get back to the sales manager about. So I guess we're not totally done, but we're getting closer to having that checked off.
I had a good meeting at work this morning. We're making good progress on the project! It was nice to hear other people's suggestions! Now I can FINALLY move forward with the rest of the project and getting the paper written!
DH and I booked our cruise and flights for our trip in March!!! Jamaica and the Cayman Islands here we come!!!
It should be a fabulous time! Plus we're spending some extra days in Miami, just to hang out!

Yes! Take before and after photos!
Yay for getting it cheaper! (and yay for going to FL in general)
1. Even if there was a small chance, it's still scary. Yay for getting that taken care of and everything's fine
2. HOW EFFIN' EXCITING! One day I shall be in that position... one day...
Once again I want to hate you but still, congratulations on booking. So exciting! And I love the idea of staying in Miami for a few days to hang out and explore. I've only been in Miami once (to board a cruise ship) but I'd love to visit ... or move there.
Delta. It was actually cheaper than Spirit. We hate Spirit, so sometimes we will take Delta or Southwest even if it costs a little more, but this time Delta won out at $177/pp. Even with flying into one airport and flying out of another (we wanted to do that).
Yeah, I've never actually been to Miami before. I meant to fly down there once to meet up with a friend who lived there. But then she moved, so that's not a possibility anymore. I'm excited to see the town!

Everyone one has such great AWs today!
One of mine is that the program book I've been working on is due tomorrow, so it'll be out of my hands soon! Thankfully, it hasn't been as stressful as I expected.
My other AW is that Miss America is on ABC this Saturday at 8:00. Don't forget to watch!!
. brookie's cookies & more . miss wayne county . pinterest .
How awesome!!!!!
I'm jealous of all these fabulous vacations that everyone is taking! Yay for fun trips!!
I did 8 miles Mon-Wed. outside, took advantage of the "spring" like weather, it was great, and I get a bonus workout pushing the double stroller, esp. up hills! I'm usually a 1-1.5 mile gal on the treadmill.
Also I tried Zumba today for the 1st time & had fun, even if I can't do the moves fast like the instructor.
I received the table runners I ordered to decorate the reception tables. They are five different vibrant colors (apple green, light blue, purple, fuschia, and an orangey gold) in a sheer/shimmery'ish fabric. I found them for $2/each, so even though we looked at fabricate, FI's mother agreed that this was the best way to go. We couldn't buy the fabric cheaper, and these look nice and are done.
So for the reception decorations I have (mental checklist here): table runners, white pots for potted annuals in different colors, cute table number thingies to go in the pots, and a card box that looks like a suitcase (as a nod to our honeymoon in Italy). As the day gets closers, I will also be borrowing votive candle holders from a friend. I also have a whole bunch of little terra cotta pots that we are going to paint white (I think) that we are going to put plant annuals in and use as favors and for the seating "chart." So, all in all, I think I'm doing pretty good.
That sounds very much like the colors I used at my wedding!!! These were my invites...
(We used dark purple writing instead of orange)

Love your invites! They go better with my theme than mine. lol We are basically going with a garden theme for the reception. The reception is going to be outside, and there is beautiful landscaping all around, so I didn't want to pick one color. We are going to potted centerpieces that have a variety of different colored annuals. I think it will work out nice.
Sounds beautiful!

Sounds super pretty! I can't wait to see pictures of the big day!
Oooooh, I really like those!
Zumba is great! And it gets easier the more you do it. I'm a month in and am for the most part able to keep up with instructor. Though I think she's either double jointed or her upper body and lower body are not connected because she can move everything at once. it's amazing. lol
We booked our tickets for our flight to Switzerland. We're visiting my sister-in-law so we don't even have to worry about hotel prices. And we're doing a quick trip to Barcelona (DH has a conference there) and SIL has offered to watch the boys. I may just take her up on it.
That sounds amazing!! Have you ever been to Switzerland before? When are you going?
My AW is that I bought a new (to me) car on Saturday! DH actually forced me into after borrowing my car Friday night. He came home from his errands and told me he wouldn't allow me to drive it again because it was a death mobile. I knew this when he left so I started researching cars as soon as he pulled out of the driveway.
I still haven't figured out the whole PIP thing but I got a 2010 Hyundai ElantraHow exciting about your new car!! LoL at "death mobile". How old was it?
It was a 2000, the same car I've had since I was 16. It was one of those things that since I drive it everyday the problems didn't seem that bad because they would come on gradually so I would get used to them. But the brakes didn't work all that well, the check engine light was on, the engine was insanely loud, it takes forever to accelerate, the AC didn't work, and a few other random things so when DH drove it he was horrified that I drove it every day.
It had been a long time coming but I had major attachment issues to my old car so it's a good thing DH forced me into it because I never would have made the decision myself. But I'm definitely enjoying the automatic locks and windows which I didn't have before. Plus I have cruise control. I'm definitely living the high life
Haha. The same thing happened to me back in 2007. I had my old highschool car and was so attached to it I didn't get a new one until it started smoking one day. DH's lease was up on his car so he needed to look for a new one, and we ended up both getting one since mine was also in the process of turning into a "death mobile".
