AW: FIL!!
My FIL has been working for this one natural gas company for almost 30 years.
A while back there was an issue with his company and another company working on a site down a dirt road with a natural waterfall just off to the side. One of the other company's trucks went off the road and destoryed the waterfall (this is a HUGE no no). The thing went to litigation and FIL's company told him that they had hired counsel to represent them, and that if he felt it necessary he could seek out his OWN counsel. Needless to say, after almost 30 years of loyalty, FIL was pissed at the lack of care they showed toward him.
Shortly thereafter, he and MIL discussed FIL starting his own consulting firm. And after some discussions FIL found a group that wanted him to work... he just needed the start date in order to quit.
Yesterday FIL got the call he was waiting for and is putting in his 2 weeks today!! I'm so proud of him!!!
