Pendant Lamp

Here's a picture of my dining room in the colors it will be when we're done painting: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/qeySvc_vTP5B3O5em14RJhtFoO0ckc_wjuKThVn7ecM?feat=directlink.

Based on what you see, which color do you like better for the pendant? (Sorry for the hugeness.)

Re: Pendant Lamp

  • Also, that is not my furniture.  Pretend it's not there along with the ugly chandelier (sp).

  • What color is your dining room table?  If it's brown I would go with the antique, if it's black I would go with the chrome.......if it's white you could go either way.  The chrome looks VERY modern and the antique...is more "expensive" looking....IMO.
  • Black-brown, which could go either way.  It's a 1954 ranch; so, modern is the style of the house.  From a design perspective, I'm covered.  I just cannot design which I like better :)

  • I agree with cipolla - the chrome one seems more "modern" and the darker one seems more classic.  I thing I'd probably go with the chrome personally (speaking as someone who has all antique bronze fixtures in her house!).
  • I like the chrome. I think it looks sharper and gives more of a pop.

  • I'd go with the bronze.  I'm not a big chrome person.  I do agree with PPs that the chrome would give the room a nice pop.  But I also feel like you could do that with accent pieces, and color.  BTW - I love the lamp - either way.

  • I think chrome works with your house, although I'm more drawn to the bronze personally.

    Either way, gorgeous pendant!

  • Personal opinion here.  I want a dining room to be warm and welcoming.  I want people to feel like they could stay around the table and talk, nibble, finish coffee and desert.  So, the darker works better for me!
