Texas Teams in Bowl Games
So with SMU's victory over Pitt on Saturday, that completes a bowl sweep by schools from the state of Texas. I don't put too much stock in the results of bowl games normally because they are just exhibitions, but I still find it interesting.

Yes, that is correct. TCU and WVU are joining B12, Mizzou and A$M are out.
It has been a rough couple of years but I am hopeful our conference will continue to thrive. We are actually ranked #2 (by quite a large gap if you look at #3 ratings) in the ESPN end of season conference rankings:

I googled right after I posted (because duh, I can answer my own questions lol) and saw that the Big East and WVU are battling it out so that WVU can leave for the Big 12. I'm kind of excited for WVU to join us. Frank Martin vs. Bob Huggins at least 1 time a year? We went to the non-con game this year and the atmosphere was electric.
Really, I'm totally okay with football season arriving again already. I don't get into basketball as much AND we got season tickets for football next year!

I feel you on that! As an Astros fan, it's hard for me to enjoy baseball at the moment, and like you, basketball just isn't my preference when it comes to sports.
How nice you have season tickets! I only get to go to a couple of games a year, but would love to go to all the home games!
We just bought cheap seats and I may miss quite a few games (I will be huge pregnant, if the positive I got today sticks) so i may not want to sit in the heat and sun lol. Still excited though!
