Do breath right strips help with your snoring husband?

I am about to suffocate mine with his pillow.  I have become a really light sleeper since having the kids and cannot sleep in the same room with him anymore. The worst thing is that he doesn't think he snores that badly, despite me recording it and playing it back...

Re: Do breath right strips help with your snoring husband?

  • no not at all but my husband sounds like a freight train.

  • Nope.

I wear ear plugs to sleep. I buy them at Target. I think the brand is something stupid like Sleep Pretty in Pink. All I know is they work. I sleep with them and a pillow over my head because he snores so loudly even the ear plugs don't always stop the noise.

  • not in the least...

  • They do usually help, surprisingly.  The target brand ones did not.  So long as i can fall asleep before DH I can usually sleep through his snoring.  If he falls asleep before me, or I wake up in the middle of the night and he is snoring, it is very hard for me to fall asleep.  Those are usually the nights where I wake him up and ask him WTH he can't put on his breathing strip since he knows I can't fall asleep with him snoring next to me and it seems like a real *** move on his part to not do something that simple.  I'm not bitter or anything ;)

  • Didn't work for me AT ALL. I'm a pretty bad snored. I think the only thing to work for me will be losing 20lbs. Or maybe not. I've always snored even when I was thin.
  • but if I wear the earplugs, then who will hear my children when they wake in the night (my son typically wakes once and DD has been lately too) ?  he sure as hell isn't gonna hear them with his foghorn blaring.

  • No, they never helped mh. He has sleep apnea & snoring isn't even an accurate word for the noises he makes, lol! He even snores with his breathing machine on. He sleeps on the couch most nights =(

  • They didn't work for mine.  I sleep with ear plugs and try to fall asleep first.

  • Yes, they help DH. They don't "silence" his snoring, but it is SO MUCH BETTER.......
